FIRST LEGO League Explore gives early elementary school students and their adult coaches the opportunity to work and create together while they explore science and technology concepts. FIRST LEGO League Explore is part of Chelsea Robotics and students have the opportunity to learn and participate with older students in the District as they begin their STEM journey.
What FIRST LEGO League Explore is all about
In Explore, teams of students in grades K-3 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, code, and create unique solutions using LEGO® bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential.
All FIRST® programs are built on a foundation of Core Values, celebrating Discovery, Impact, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork, and Fun.
The teams’ season culminates in an expo, hosted by Chelsea Robotics and the Chelsea School District, where they celebrate and share the work they have done together with other teams.
What sets FIRST LEGO League Explore apart from other programs
The FIRST Core Values. Students learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and they gain valuable teamwork skills.
The FIRST Progression and $81 million in scholarships. Students can participate in FIRST in K-12 and graduates can apply for college scholarships just for FIRST students.
